my sweetest daily indulgence…
(Source: 86era, via rowenaslove)
it was a hot and humid summer night everywhere else, but for some reason her home and her yard brought comfort and cool. not sure if it was the lush surrounds, boasting an overarching full bamboo tree, or just the conversation we shared. it was a difficult night for one of us, and the two others tried to help her think it through, to find sense in this crazy world of love and loving. we asked the right questions, we found our way to conclusions but we didn’t know the how. the two were convinced, but the other no so.
then she left us for a moment and came back with her crystal pendulum. i had never seen one, nor did i really know much about it. but immediately i knew… all it did was confirm what all three deep down knew. she explained, it is believed to be a visual confirmation of what your soul already knows - this reminds me that you can hold yourself back or propel yourself forward as you believe.
from this all i take, listen to your soul, not your mind or your heart…its the voice of the Holy Spirit within you…teaching you, comforting you, walking with you…

geometry from up high
a few months ago we took our first real vacation since being pregnant with our first daughter, who will be five this year. needless to say i was very excited. it was just the two of us. and it also came at a time when i really need an escape, to think, to feel, to just be… i chose the window seat on our flight over to los angeles from atlanta. this was the view and these were my thoughts then…
“you have to believe there is a God!
I now believe that life cannot be viewed from just down on the flat. you have to go up high and change perspective, more than just once in a while. the beauty of these circles would have missed me had i viewed them up close.”
from the text, Women Who Run With the Wolves by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes
